Got a message left on my answerphone about some auto-renewal costing £800 unless I hit 1 to chat with someone. It’s just rubbish, but what’s really sad is that some folks might actually fall for this scam. These people are just terrible.

Without a doubt, this was a scam. I got a voicemail from some robot voice that spoke English with a weird American accent, but it was obvious they weren't native or something. The message said something like, "Your subscription will be renewed and £800 will be charged. If you wish to avoid the charge or cancel, press 1 to talk to our agent. Thanks." Total nonsense.

Got a voicemail from a blocked number with an American accent, couldn't catch it all but they said something about £800 charge if I don't renew. They asked me to press 1 to talk to them. Weird stuff.

Got an automated call saying I owe £800 and my BT internet will be cut off if I dont pay up. Thing is, I don’t even have BT! Definitely a scam so I just blocked the number straight away.

Got a message saying it's from BT, so I just hung up and blocked the caller. I've seen this message pop up before, always ends the same way with me blocking the number. Seems like they keep switching numbers though.

Got a call warning me I'd be cut off and then charged £800 just to get my service back if I didn't ring them again.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, but it felt very dodgy. Pretty sure it was just scammers pretending to be them.
