Got a voicemail earlier from a woman’s recorded voice sayin’ HMRC is suing me. It came from the number 07537 182372, looks like a proper scam. I’m an OAP and still got a bit of sense, so I ain’t falling for that rubbish. Best not answer or call back if you get it either.

Got a call on a bank holiday Monday with a voicemail claiming I’ve got a legal case opened against me. They left a different number to ring back on. Could be really scary for someone who’s more vulnerable. I’m retired, luckily I’m not one to panic or fall for this sort of thing.

Really good job I had a look here first. Left a voicemail over the bank holiday about some case involving "you", but didn't say what or who exactly. I just deleted the message and didn't bother ringing back. Felt a bit sketchy to me!

i’m an oldie and was proper worried thinking i was in some trouble with the law, but luckily i looked up this number here first. trust me, it’s better to just ignore it and not call back. use some common sense like me!

I just got the same call. HMRC wouldn't send messages like that, they'd always get in touch through the mail. Best not to respond or call back!

I got a voicemail just like the one from 11.5.17, saying there’s some legal action being taken against me. They left a mobile number to contact some lawyer or legal expert. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

FYI, HMRC never call from a mobile number! If you get a mobile caller claiming to be them, it's probably a scam. Just thought I'd share to save someone the hassle.

I got a robo call claiming to be from HMRC saying I had some legal case against me and to call another number. I find it hard to think the inland revenue would use this kind of tactic, so it’s clearly a scam. Still, it’s scary because I bet some folks might freak out and fall for it.

I got a voicemail from a woman asking me to ring her back - the number she left was 07537182372.

Someone rang claiming there was a county court judgment against me and told me to ring a different number, but I didn’t get the number properly. They said they were from something like "HMRE" or similar. Is this even real? Feels a bit dodgy to me.

Got a call saying it was from the tax office about some sort of case they had against me and they asked me to press a button. Knowing I used to work there, I was well aware this was a total scam since the tax office wouldn't handle things like that over the phone. Watch out for these dodgy calls!
