I got a call from someone saying £600 had been taken from my credit card and I needed to look into it. It sounded legit enough, so I checked while still on the call, but nothing was missing. I had a feeling it was dodgy. I told the caller I’d report it to the fraud department and then the line went dead. I then phoned the number on the back of my card and spoke to a rep who told me it was definitely a scam, and they’d had loads of calls like mine, all about the same amount of £600.
