10 yearsA bloke named Sam with a strong Indian/Bangladeshi accent rang me up to try and flog some TV insurance I’ve never had or asked for. He kept insisting I already had it and said they were cutting the price from £7 a month down to £5. I told him straight I don’t have any TV insurance and definitely don’t want it, but he was really pushy and kept trying to convince me otherwise. This sort of thing sounds risky, especially for older people or those who might not spot the scam, as they’re clearly pushing something useless or maybe even trying to nick your money info.
