He spoke with a strong foreign accent and the behaviour seemed unprofessional compared to what one would expect from a genuine BT representative.

12th March 2021 around 10.54am I got a call from this number saying they were from BT about my internet. I told them I didn’t actually have internet, just to check if they were legit. As soon as I said that, the bloke just hung up on me without a word. If it were really BT, I reckon they’d have asked more questions. The call quality was awful, I could hardly make out what the guy was saying. He sounded like a man with quite a strong foreign accent.
