At around 6.35pm on the 14th December 2016, while my wife and I were eating dinner and awaiting an important phonecall about some family worries, I received a cold call on my unlisted number. The person on the other end was attempting to push some sort of solar panel upgrade. I never gave permission for anyone to ring my ex-directory number and don’t appreciate such intrusive calls. Although the caller was polite enough, I made it very clear they weren’t welcome. The whole thing left us feeling a bit violated and frustrated. After looking up the number on your site, I found the caller was from a company called ‘Solar Plant’ in Swansea. I hope this firm will face some consequences for these unwelcome calls. Dr R. P.

Tonight at about 6.35pm on 14/12/16, my ex-directory number got an unexpected call while my wife and I were eating dinner and waiting nervously for news about some family problems. The person on the other end was trying to push some sort of solar panel upgrade. They weren’t rude but I quickly told them in no uncertain terms to stop calling. It felt like a real invasion of privacy, especially since we’d never given permission for such calls to come through on this unlisted number. Solar Plants Ltd claim on their website to be a “family run, ethical, fast expanding company.” if that really is them ringing. The number is from the Swansea area. I’m not interested in firms who clearly ignore the TPS and just cold call anyway. It sounded like an auto-dial too. Plus I’m curious where they pulled info on our solar panels since we’ve never dealt with them before. Also, why would someone bother posting about them being “nice” here - most people come to these sites because they’re fed up with annoying calls, not to praise the callers.

I knew right away he was trying to pitch a battery system so I could store extra energy on sunny days when my house doesn’t use it all, and then use it at night (probably less than 50% efficient, no surprise) or when the sun isn’t shining enough to power everything. Like most of these fancy tech ideas, it’s doubtful I’d see a decent payback on what I’d spend for a long time.

I got calls from these guys two times today, both on my mobile and landline at the same time on 25/02/2016. Honestly, I’m not interested and would appreciate if they just stopped calling. It’s becoming a real bother.

Picked up the phone and said straight away "NOT INTERESTED IN SOLAR PANELS" and the guy on the line said he wasn't selling solar panels at all, then tried pushing a cheaper gas deal on me. I told him no thanks and ended the call. Bet I'll get another one tomorrow, they've been phoning me twice daily every day for the last week.
