On Wednesday, June 28th, around 10.49 in the morning, I got a call from the number 01792 735 974. I’ve never seen or heard of this number before.

Got a call, I picked up but couldn't hear anything, then the line went dead. Total spam, I reckon.

I had a lady ring me up, keen to discuss my banking package. I let her know I was rather preoccupied at that moment and couldn’t chat.

I received a call from this number earlier today (25/4/17) but couldn’t answer in time. I decided to return the call, only to be met with an American-accented voicemail that said, "The individual at extension 5001 is not available right now. Kindly leave your message after the beep." Quite strange that no company name was provided!

When I inquired who was calling, they requested my name, to which I replied that the person they were seeking wasn’t around and asked for the purpose of their call. They refused to divulge any details, claiming it would be more appropriate to discuss it directly with [my name] on a later occasion. I couldn’t quite grasp what sort of service they were offering - I threw out a few possibilities like debt assistance and PPI claims, but they insisted they would get in touch again. After a bit of digging, it turns out this number hasn’t been flagged on any other platforms, but given the sheer number of unsolicited calls I receive, I’ve decided to block it.
