Honestly, it’s the banks who leak your details to these firms, not the other way around. And don’t think you can just get your name removed from the lists, it’s not that simple. There’s loads of different records for the same person and the calls just go out on autopilot.

I got a recorded message at 1.46pm on 3rd October 2023 from a bloke with a South Wales accent. The number was from the Swansea area code. The message said something like, "Hi, if you want to stop getting calls, please ring us on 01792722159 and we’ll gladly take you off our list. Sorry for any trouble caused, thanks." It’s nice they admit they’re bothering me and say sorry, but honestly I’d rather not have had the annoying message at all. Plus, I have no idea why they put my number on their list to start with. This looks like one of those cold call companies checking if you might be eligible for a government grant for home improvements. I want to warn everyone about AQL Wholesale Ltd. Apparently, they deal in phone numbers, but from what I've heard, they're mostly passing these numbers on to scammers.
