This number phoned me saying they were with Octopus Energy and needed to do a smart meter update. I told them my meter was only replaced a few months back because it wasn’t working properly. They then said there was a newer model now and wanted to come and swap it out. I politely declined and they just ended the call straight away.

I saw a missed call from this number so I called back, but when I did, it said the number wasn’t valid or didn’t exist. Strange!

Im really concerned coz they had all my details including my address and postcode. When I said I was going to pass her on to the police, she just cut the call. They really need to get a grip on these calls, especially since it’s the vulnerable that end up getting targeted.
