10 yearsI recently received a barrage of ten calls from different numbers, one of which was a mobile we answered. The caller tried to push us into buying phone insurance, claiming we were already protected through our bank account. After that, they promptly hung up. This happened on just the second day of our contact, which is quite concerning. As a result, I've decided to terminate my contracts with both O2 and Carphone Warehouse as a form of protest against this nonsense. It’s rather apparent that there’s been a breach of privacy somewhere along the line, and it feels like someone is profiting from this situation-be it O2 or Carphone Warehouse. They need to understand that I am not at all satisfied with this matter!Carphone Warehouse10 yearsJust to answer Kev's question, it must be O2, as we didn't actually purchase our phone from Carphone Warehouse.KevCarphone Warehouse10 yearsEarlier today, we received a call from this same number, and they were fishing for our credit card details under the guise of some insurance malarkey. O2 confirmed that it definitely wasn’t them, as all their numbers appear as withheld or start with 0870. This particular number is linked to the Swansea area, and every time we try to call back, they just hang up! I reckon I might have a bit of fun with them for a while! Anyone else want to join the antics? :)O2Swansea10 yearsWe’ve been getting calls from this number too. We’re on O2 and purchased our phone through Phones4U. I’ve made sure to store the number in the reject list on our phone.11 yearsWe frequently get calls from this number, yet we never pick up. Initially, we thought it might be a mate of ours calling from overseas (we're not too savvy with the area codes). She claimed she hadn't tried to contact us, so we decided to turn to the trusty ‘who called me’ service. We're grateful to you lot for helping us identify these callers. Now, when they ring, we know to mess with them by delivering some made-up details and telling them to shove off with their nonsense. Cheers for the assist!11 yearsYou can sign up at tpsonline.org without spending a penny. Alternatively, give them a ring at 0845 070 0707. They'll help you put an end to all those annoying sales calls or scams you might still be receiving. If those pesky calls continue for over thirty weeks, TPS is ready to take legal action.tpsonlineorgTPS12 yearsMy mate received a call, and these folks were quite threatening, saying they’d inflate their phone bill.12 yearsEarlier today, we received a rather vexatious call from these numpties claiming that our telephone insurance was being reduced from £149 to £79, despite the fact that it was only £2 a month! As soon as we challenged them, they unceremoniously ended the call. We tried to ring them back about six times in quick succession; on four occasions, there was no answer at all, and on two of those attempts, they picked up but refused to utter a single word. Honestly, I wish they would just vanish and face the consequences of their dubious actions!12 yearsWe’ve recently got ourselves a pay-as-you-go mobile with Vodafone and have started receiving calls from this number. We’ve made it a point never to pick up on unknown callers, but whenever we do ring back, it’s just dead silence. We’ve also been inundated with calls from various numbers regarding insurance, and they’ve been quite insistent on obtaining our card information. The voice on the other end sounded distinctly Asian/Indian, and honestly, it was a struggle to understand what they were saying, so we made it clear we weren’t interested. Now, we’ve decided to turn the tables and bombard these callers with return calls!Vodafone12 yearsI called to inquire about the insurance for my O2 mobile phone, but as soon as we mentioned our lack of interest, they abruptly ended the call.13 yearsWe've been receiving a fair few calls from this number. After a bit of searching online, we’re relieved we didn’t divulge any personal details. The caller seemed a bit vague, only mentioning they knew we recently had an O2 phone, but couldn't pinpoint which one. Seems like there might be some dodgy business going on with O2.13 yearsI called to inquire about the O2 mobile phone insurance, but the moment we mentioned our lack of interest, they hung up straight away. Very abrupt!13 yearsI received a call from this number, one of numerous inquiries concerning our phone insurance (I’m with Vodafone). The callers wanted our bank details, but when I asked for a contact number for their customer service, they abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!Vodafone13 yearsWe’ve been getting calls from this number time and again, yet we’ve made it a point never to pick up straight away. To be honest, we thought it might be a mate of ours messing about (since we're not familiar with all the different area codes). She mentioned she hadn’t tried to get in touch like usual.
