It’d be a lot easier if when you called this number back, it just said straight up that it doesn't take incoming calls. I reckon they're using this trick to get round the problem of lines blocking calls from withheld numbers. Still, it’s a bit nerve-wracking when you’re expecting a call from the hospital, see the right area code flash up, then ring back and all you get is “the number you’ve dialled isn’t recognised”. Proper frustrating.
