I honestly wish I knew where these ####ers hang about. Wouldn’t it be something to ring their doorsteps late on a quiet night with a couple of tough mates? Just a hammer, a pair of pliers, and a blowtorch in hand!

Someone rang me pretending to be from Microsoft, telling me there was an issue with my PC. I just told them they were talking nonsense and hung up straight away.

Had a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft, warning that my Microsoft account would get blacklisted unless I hopped on my PC and adjusted some security stuff like they told me. I reckon if I followed their orders, the firm behind this bloke would end up hacking as much as they could get their hands on.

They rang but didn’t say a word, and once I answered, they just cut off straight away.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from Microsoft, but sounded like a scam. The guy on the line had an Asian accent. I just told him I wasn't buying it and ended the call straight away.

Massive scam alert! Some bloke with an Asian accent used a fake English name and launched into that classic Microsoft spiel. I didn’t bother and just ended the call sharpish by clicking the hang-up button. Stay clear of these dodgy calls!

I had a strange call from someone with a foreign accent pretending to be from Microsoft. They rang my mum and dad’s landline about four times all within an hour. Luckily, I picked up as they’re quite old - 85 and 90 years - and don’t use the internet at all. What was really creepy is that the caller knew their full name and address. How on earth are these scammers getting hold of such personal info?

Got a call from some people with Asian accents pretending to be from tech support, threatening to turn off my PC. Definitely a scam, don’t trust these call centre phones.

I got a call with lots of background chatter, like a busy call centre. But no one actually spoke to me. Probably just some "Microsoft Windows Corp" trying to offer help or maybe "BT" warning about my internet getting disconnected soon. Guess I’ll just ignore it.

This lady said she was from Microsoft Security or something like that. I asked her nicely not to call again, but she kept ringing me up, like four times! Each time she was threatening to block my computer access. By the time she called the last time, I was fed up, and she just said she had no choice but to block my machine. Such a hassle!

Got a call from some 'Jenny' with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft about some computer problems. I just let her prattle on until she asked for remote access. I reckon my strong British slang threw her off a bit!

Got a call from a guy saying he was from Microsoft support, asking to speak to the computer’s owner. He said there was some suspicious stuff happening on my PC and wanted me to give him access. I just told him I wasn’t convinced and mentioned I actually run Linux, not Windows, and he hung up straight away.

yeah, got one of those calls too, some bloke claiming to be from Microsoft telling me my PC is sending out weird data or something and they gotta shut it down. it's crazy they can just say that and some folks might actually believe it. really worries me that whoever owns that number lets this kinda scam go on. blocked it right away but bet they’ll ring back from a new number soon enough.
