Had a bit of a curious situation today! An accent unfamiliar to me came through the line, and this woman started chatting about some sort of allowances for a new boiler. I must admit, it left me quite puzzled since I don’t even own one! So, I simply hung up.

I received a call from a chap named Daniel who claimed I had been in touch with his firm regarding investments. When I firmly asserted that I hadn’t spoken to anyone about such matters, he insisted otherwise, saying that I must have, or else he wouldn’t have my contact details. He reiterated this twice, which rather irked me. I am fully aware that I have not engaged in any conversations about investments; I haven’t lost my marbles and certainly know when I’ve had a chat with someone. When I restated this undeniable truth, he abruptly ended the call. I must say, I find such behaviour quite disrespectful and I take issue with being treated as if I’m dimwitted.
