Didn’t get a single word out of them, just complete silence when I answered. Very weird.

Got a robotic voicemail saying my internet was at risk of being cut off because of some security breach. Sounded suspicious as heck.

Some bloke called claiming to be an engineer from Virgin Media. He asked me to press the Windows key and R to show he was legit. I refused and told him I’d only speak to Virgin Media if I called them myself. He tried to convince me to deal with him directly, saying calling Virgin Media would just send me to their accounts team who wouldn’t help. I kept saying I’d only trust a proper Virgin Media number, then he just hung up. Asking people to press Windows key and R is a classic scam move, so watch out.

I got calls from someone saying they were from Virgin Media, telling me there was an issue with my modem. They asked me to give them access to my laptop to sort it out. Of course, I didn't do it, but they kept ringing back, about 5 or 6 times across a couple of days. Then one time it was a woman with the exact same tale. Pretty annoying to be honest.

Got a call from 01782 974338, some bloke who called himself Steve Edward from Virgin. Sound was quite Indian. He tried convincing me to let him into my laptop. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call saying my Internet would be cut off soon. Honestly, it's so annoying, especially when I'm waiting on a really important call from the hospital about my wife's operation today. So fed up with all this bother. Grrr!

I've blocked the number ages ago, but annoyingly, they've called me about five times over the past couple of days. My phone stops the calls from going through, but it still lets me know when they've tried ringing.
