I picked up and there was just silence, then the call suddenly dropped. The number showed up with a local area code but the phone said it was an international call. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I got this dodgy call claiming I could win loads of cash for nothing. They were likely faking the area code to make it seem like it was from a local business. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

I got a call from a bloke saying he was ringing about our loft insulation, which was put in a few years back. He claimed there might be moisture issues and offered to replace it for free. When I asked for his contact number or to call back at a better time, he cut me off and aggressively demanded to know if I owned the house. I didn’t answer, and he just hung up on me out of the blue! His rude attitude made me think it was a dodgy scam, so I've blocked the number now.

this guy called me claiming it was about a government grant for insulation, which we're supposed to have put in our roof recently. problem is, we never had any insulation done. then when i asked which number he dialled, he just hung up on me. seems dodgy, especially with all the news about these new government grants for insulation! could very well be a scam.
