I recently visited the Holdcroft dealership for a Volvo recall, as they required my contact number. Now, my phone's been inundated with marketing calls and texts from them. I’m not at all interested, so I went ahead and blocked the number. It's worth noting that they operate several dealerships, including Volvo, Hyundai, and Honda, and it seems they’ll happily add extra charges on top of what you'd expect!

I answered one time, and a lady said she was from “profit centre” about some “trading account,” which I’ve got no clue about, so I just told her to buzz off, and she said alright then. Got a missed call from this number. Normally, I ignore calls from unfamiliar numbers, but every now and then I pick up just in case its something urgent. It’s sad that heaps of people don’t have caller ID or feel pressured to answer every ringing phone, fearing they could miss something important. I received a rather peculiar call on the 31st of January, 2020. The caller claimed to be representing Holdcroft Hyundai, extending an invitation to some kind of event. They seemed to have knowledge about the vehicle I drive, which raised a few eyebrows as it suggested they possessed my details from somewhere. I politely declined their offer, and thankfully, they didn’t press the matter further and moved on.
