Some guy with an accent called and asked for me by name. He said he needed to ask about some stuff related to the house. I told him I’m not interested in answering any questions and just hung up on him.

This guy actually knew my name and the postcode from my old place. When I told him that info was wrong, he asked me which part was wrong and I said everything. He said he wasnt trying to sell me anything, so maybe I just misjudged him. I said goodbye to end it. Fingers crossed this is over now.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded Asian. I picked up but didn’t say anything, which seemed to confuse him a bit. After about three minutes he gave up and hung up. These calls, probably coming from India, are really making people feel bad about Indians, Pakistanis, and other Asian communities. Just stop it, no one wants your calls, find a real job and stop pestering folks. Basically, just leave us alone.

I didn't leave a voicemail like the answerphone asked - all my mates, family and legit callers usually drop a message. Scammers and cold callers rarely bother. Looks like 0178 is becoming the latest dodgy area code too. Ofcom and the others should really check this out.
