Someone rang saying they were from O2, but that was all I needed to hear before I just cut them off and blocked the number since I know I'm with a different provider.

The number showed up flagged as a possible scam, so I decided to just block it straight away.

I kinda suspected straight away it was a scam so I just let them keep talking to see what nonsense they'd say. They claimed to be from O2 and told me my sim card would be cancelled that evening unless I got a replacement sent out. I played along for a bit but as soon as they requested my email and bank details, I cut them off and blocked the caller. Not long after, they phoned back but this time from a different number, this time showing as Stoke on Trent. I did a quick look on the O2 site and some forums and yep, it’s a common scam that plenty of people have reported.

I kept getting calls from this number, with someone saying they were from O2. As soon as I ended the call, a different number popped up, starting with 01782 and then some other digits. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

It showed up as a possible scam so I didn’t pick up, and they didn’t leave any voicemail. The number seemed to be from Stoke on Trent. Just as I’m writing this, they’ve called me again. I’m definitely blocking them now.
