Just got a call on my landline from 01782 256884. I answered since I was waiting for a call, but as soon as I picked up, they ended it. I've blocked the number now. Feels like a dodgy BT call to me. A similar thing happened recently with 08003357000 - they didn’t get through on one number, so I guess they’re trying different ones.

I answered the phone since I was waiting for a call, but as soon as I picked up, they’d already ended it. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now. Looks like another dodgy BT scam, like the one from 08003357000 I got not long ago.

They called claiming it was about the internet, seemed a bit iffy so I just ended the call.

I picked up and there was nothing but background noise, no one actually saying anything. It really came across like one of those cold call centres just trying to ring through.
