I received a rather intrusive phone call earlier, where the person on the other end inquired whether I had ever shopped at Tesco or Morrisons. I quickly ended the conversation as it was clearly an uninvited solicitation. It felt like a blatant attempt to drum up sales or perhaps even lay the groundwork for one.

I wasn’t really sure who was on the other end as they muttered something, so I asked who I was talking to. They then said something about speaking to whoever handles the electricity bill. I just hung up after that.

I got a call that only rang a couple of times before cutting off. When I rang the number back, it turned out to be some sort of claims centre. Definitely one of those cold calls.

Just got a call asking if we've ever bought stuff from Tesco or Morrisons. Those MRS people are just as annoying as the usual cold callers, but I guess they must get some sales out of it somehow.
