I received a rather perplexing call from someone purporting to be Amy, who was speaking on behalf of an organisation that allegedly aids elderly homeowners. She was claiming to provide some form of assistance with security, safeguarding, and general support for folks in our community. Now, here's the kicker-she insisted that you must own a home and have been a resident of the area for quite some time to qualify. Interestingly, the line was quite echoey, almost as if the call was coming through from a fair distance away. We’re situated in Wiltshire, by the way. Quite an odd experience, I must say!

Received a call earlier purportedly concerning a new safety initiative. They mentioned that ‘safety wardens’ would soon be introduced in my locality, promising to offer prioritised assistance for the fire brigade, police, ambulance, and medical professionals. However, as soon as I mentioned that I didn’t fit into their targeted age bracket of 50 to 80, they abruptly cut the line. Just thought I’d share this from Wiltshire.
