Received an unsolicited call this evening regarding energy conservation. They asked to speak with my father, and when I explained that he's currently in hospital, the caller then proceeded to inquire about his discharge date. Upon learning that we couldn't provide an answer, they abruptly ended the conversation. Utterly disrespectful and lacking basic decency-quite frankly, a discourteous individual!

The answering machine always kicks in, yet there’s never a message left behind. It’s got that 01772 area code, but the last three digits seem to change now and again. I suspect it’s a scam related to BT, Talk Talk, or whatever your phone provider is. When my actual provider contacts me, I usually receive an email from them first-never occurs with these questionable calls. This time, my partner picked up and told them I’d passed away and to stop calling. They still persist, though! The calls are definitely from Preston.

I've had a call from this number in the past; unfortunately, I missed it as I had only just woken up, otherwise I wouldn't have answered. Each time they ring, there's no actual conversation-just some murmurs in the background that give off the impression of a small call centre operation at play. It seems like they often reconnect later, probably to check which numbers are responsive. It's rather unsettling and incredibly annoying. We’re on the Telephone Preference Service, so it’s clear they’re disregarding that completely.
