I got a call from someone saying they needed to update my meter info because they thought I'd just moved. When I asked what the call was about, they just ended the call straight away. Sounds like one of those call centres cold calling new residents to try and get them signed up for their energy services.

These energy brokers keep ringing non stop, always chasing you to switch providers. Proper annoying they are!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the utility company. They knew my name and my phone number and mentioned the fact I've just set up a new business address. They tried to convince me to switch from an emergency tariff to a different one, making it seem like they were looking out for me. Sounds like they want to get you into a utility deal but act like they really understand your situation. I’m not up for chatting with them and they keep ringing me anyway. Ended up blocking the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be National Utilities, saying they had updates about the owner or tenant switching at our house. Thing is, I’m not involved with them and nothing’s actually changed with our place.
