There’s this utility company that’s been ringing non stop ever since I moved into my new business space. For weeks now, they’ve been calling me like 2 to 6 times daily. I ended up blocking them after one of their reps rudely called me a b#### just because I was questioning why they kept calling. Even now, their number still pops up loads in my call history. My electric is all sorted long ago and the landlord cut off the gas supply recently since I don’t use it. Honestly, just block them and don’t bother.

The fibs continue (part 2)! They mentioned prices would go up later today but can’t really say when. She said she’d ring me right before the hike! “We’re only advisers, salaried not commission” and then “Yeah, I’m authorised to arrange contracts for you.” Funny how that works. The deal they pushed was ridiculously overpriced, plus they had way too much info about me. I reckon they called because I recently set up a new company, though they didn’t realise I’ve been at this address a while. This sort of dodgy behaviour really ought to get reported.

The fibs (part 1) At the moment, I'm being billed at an emergency rate of £1.45 daily and 25.26p per kWh by one provider (which is the right provider, but clearly the wrong rate). Another provider claims they aren’t accepting new business customers at the moment (which isn’t true because I've actually got a quote from them already). The best offer around me is 69.71p per day standing charge and 20.47p per kWh from PFP Energy (funny how they’re neighbours with this other company).

Someone pretending to be from the utilities keep calling, asking for the "owner of our company". Our receptionist wasn't having any of it at all. So, because of some "change of tenancy" with our business place, they say we gotta send in meter readings or else our utility bills are gonna skyrocket at some crazy out of contract rate. But here’s the catch: 1. We haven’t actually changed tenancy yet. 2. According to Ofgem, this so-called 'out of contract' rate thing isn’t even a legit thing. When new tenants move in, they just continue with the old tenant’s contract rates.
