I don’t usually pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so when this one 017729249844 rang me, I just let it ring off. No idea who it was.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from a debt assistance hotline. They seemed convinced they had access to my credit report, claiming it indicated I was drowning in debt. The truth is, I've got no debts whatsoever, aside from a mobile phone contract, which hardly counts! As soon as I pointed out their mistake, they abruptly ended the call. Quite the cheek, really!

Got a call from a mobile number and there was a voicemail waiting. It was one of those automated messages claiming they were ringing about their products and asked me to ring back. The message started off with a weird delay and sounded fishy, mentioned a name like Telly True or something close. Definitely not trusting it, so straight to the block list it went!

Received a call inquiring about my daughter's details, even mentioned her name. Claimed to represent a company that handles housing benefit questions for renters. However, neither of us are renters at all, so it’s undoubtedly a scam. I've gone ahead and blocked them.
