My phone protector flagged the number 01772924841 as potentially fraudulent. When I picked up, the individual blathered on about some sort of product services - complete nonsense, if you ask me. There was a cacophony of noise in the background, making it clear they were likely in a call centre.

I got a call from this number and the person said they were from some renting agency linked to the government. They kept asking if I rented my place, which I found odd since surely the government knows if someone’s renting or paying a mortgage. When I asked if it was a scam, they said no straight away. I told them that’s exactly what all scammers say and then they just hung up pretty quickly.

Got this missed call and the voicemail was all robotic, never mentioned who was calling. Did a quick search and found out they're known for posing as government folks to scam about mortgages. I do have a mortgage but manage everything online and owe nothing to anyone like that. Anyway, I'm just gonna block the number now.

They kept calling with this automated voice about their products, and you could catch that same tune in the background that usually plays when you’re on hold.
