Some bloke rang me and asked for me by my full name. I didn’t say who I was, just asked who was calling. He said he was David from Fresh Contacts. I stayed quiet after that. Then he said, “Your number’s on our list, and it’s active. I’m calling about some damage you supposedly reported on your car.” I replied that I hadn’t reported any damage and told him to take my number off their list. Then I hung up. I highly doubt he actually removed it, but he’s definitely blocked on my phone now!

Lately I keep getting calls from various numbers in Manchester and Preston. Every time it's someone trying to push marketing stuff, saying they need to talk to whoever pays the electricity bill. When I asked who they were with, they finally told me different versions of EnergyChoice or EnergySaver. The numbers keep changing, but it’s always from some similar company name. Caller ID just shows as Unknown as well.

The bloke just kept rambling on, so I launched into singing “I’m Henry the Eighth, I am.” He called me a tosser and hung up straight away. Haven’t heard from him again since.

This number called saying they were from my contact lens company and wanted to check some info on my account. I said yes since I'd just updated my details a few hours before. Then the bloke went on about me having a recent car accident! I reported it to my contact lens supplier and they told me they’ve passed it on to their fraud team.
