Each time I picked up, the caller promptly disconnected without a word! Quite baffling, to say the least!4 yearsThis number has rang me about 14 times over just a couple of days. The recorded message claims to be from a prisoner in Preston Jail, asking if I’d like to accept a call free of charge. They say the inmate can’t get through to me unless I agree to the call. I know someone else who’s had the exact same calls from this number, with that exact story. We don’t know anyone locked up, and even if we did, there’s no way they’d be ringing that many times non-stop. I’ve blocked the number now so my phone stops buzzing, but it still shows up as blocked calls. Feels like a proper scam to me. Who knows how much they’d charge if you press accept?
