I'm residing in Northern Ireland and haven't had any interactions with folks from the mainland. Yet, I keep getting calls at home from these individuals seeking personal information. They only provide a number, and I'm completely bewildered about what they're after or who they actually are.

A call came through for Marie while we were out, and the callers left a reference number. Out of curiosity, we decided to look up the phone number online to see who they were. In the end, we never bothered to return the call.

Absolutely the same situation for me; these individuals keep ringing up, merely sharing their number along with a contact number, yet they’re utterly unwilling to divulge any details regarding their identity or purpose. It's baffling-particularly when it’s essential to know the specific person they’re pursuing. The most frustrating part? They tend to get rather irate when someone isn’t available. I’m left wondering what measures I could take to persuade them to reveal what it is they actually seek.

I've been getting voice messages urging me to call 01772557635 right away and to mention a reference number. The first one was a recorded message, but the subsequent two were from an actual person. I'm genuinely puzzled about what this might be all about. I've looked up the number and it appears to be linked to something called the Consumer Action Forum. What on earth is going on here?

We received a phone call from a company asking for our mother. Since she wasn't available, we offered to take down their details and have her return the call. However, they only provided a reference number and a phone number to contact, but refused to disclose who they were or the purpose of their call. When we expressed our reluctance to hand over any information without clarity, the gentleman on the other end rudely told us to “get lost” before abruptly hanging up. This prompted us to call back and file a complaint, during which we were assured by a manager that they would investigate the matter further.

Received a call from my partner, who mentioned it was related to work, so in a moment of daftness, I handed over my mobile number. Claiming it was urgent, and now I’m relieved I didn’t take the time to ring them back! How on earth do these companies manage to persist? It feels downright dodgy, to be honest!

What an absurd company! They only possess our phone number and keep ringing us, yet they refuse to share any useful information. It’s incredibly frustrating as they’ve really tested our patience. Despite this, they just won't stop calling!

Have you picked up on the fact that these so-called debt collection agencies seem utterly hopeless when it comes to spelling and grammar? It certainly says a lot about them, doesn't it?

If you find yourself wanting to dodge a conversation and you're keen to put a stop to any future calls, give 01772557635 a bell. When someone picks up, simply let them know that you've received a call for "Whoever" and provide them with the reference number. Make it clear that you are not "Whoever", and confirm your phone number with them. They'll take the necessary steps to remove your number from their database. Should they inquire about how you came to know of "Whoever", just respond with "number" and you'll be all set!

I've been getting relentless calls from 01772 557635 and 0845 1460160 for weeks now, with the latest one coming in today. Usually, we pick up the phone, but today there was a significant pause of a couple of seconds before they finally responded. So, we decided to hang up instead. It’s becoming quite tiresome!

I can't believe the sheer nerve of these individuals, they really are a pain! They incessantly bombard me with calls, yet as far as I'm concerned, I owe nothing to anyone. My phone was previously owned, so perhaps that's the mix-up. I've made it crystal clear that I'm not the individual they're after, but the ringing just won't cease. They had the audacity to suggest they'd stop contacting me if I provided my previous and current addresses-like that's going to happen! As it stands, I suppose I'll just endure these interruptions and stay silent when they call. Let them waste their time and resources-it’s utterly ridiculous!

I’ve just discovered that this is IQOR Debt Recovery based in Preston. They’ve been hounding us over a supposed debt of £465 owed to E.ON, which they claim has been handed over for collection. The absurdity of it all is that we’ve received absolutely no notification whatsoever regarding this matter. To top it off, they’ve gone and insisted that we haven’t made a single payment to E.ON in the last two years, which is simply untrue!

This morning has been an absolute nightmare, with my phone ringing off the hook a staggering seven times, starting bright and early at six! After much persistence on my part, I finally managed to get a human on the other end of the line. However, to my dismay, they couldn't track down my number in their system to provide any reason for their incessant calls. To add insult to injury, they then asked for further personal information, which I outright refused to share. It felt dodgy, and I wasn’t about to divulge my details to someone I didn't recognise. Definitely a scam operation-be wary and don’t fall into their trap!

I received a message on my answering machine from a caller named Mkinika, but there’s no follow-up message. It seems I may have inadvertently taken over someone else's phone number, as I've been inundated with calls for a woman I don’t know. Some of these callers are rather insistent and quite sceptical, even after I've made it clear that this isn't her number, nor have I ever known her-and I've resided at this address for three decades now! Cheers to Virgin Media for this delightful situation, eh?

I’m in the same boat! These callers just won't take a hint. They keep ringing me up, armed only with a reference number and a contact number, and they’re utterly tight-lipped about the identities of the people they’re chasing or their purpose. It’s as if they believe it’s crucial for this certain person to be reached, and the moment that individual isn’t available, they turn quite irate. Honestly, it’s beyond frustrating! Does anyone have any tips on how I could either shoo them off or delve into what they really want? It’s about time I got some clarity on this!

I must say, it’s rather peculiar - I get calls at least twenty times daily, and each time I pick up, there's this dodgy-sounding chap with an Asian accent who simply greets me before the line goes silent. Quite vexing, really! On top of that, I've been receiving some rather unpleasant text messages from someone named Akinika. I didn’t initially connect the dots, but after going through various reports, I've made the unfortunate discovery that they’re likely linked to the same individuals. Absolutely baffling!

I've received multiple calls over the past fortnight from an old mobile number, also associated with 01772220504. It seems to be linked to Akinika or iQor, the debt collection agency. The one time I actually picked up, the person on the other end was incredibly rude and quite threatening, asking for someone whose name I don't recognise. I've been at this same address for 15 years, and when they requested my postcode, I declined to provide it. They claimed they were sending letters that I needed to respond to without delay. However, I haven't received any correspondence, just ongoing phone calls. They mentioned having clients like HBOS and Halifax, as well as the Bank of Scotland. I’m completely unaware of any debts in my name-surely they can't be legitimate? It all feels a bit dodgy, almost like a fishing expedition!

This lot is dodgy! PayPal will always notify you upfront if you've got any unpaid dues before taking steps for recovery. Best to hang up straight away and absolutely refrain from sharing any personal information. If you do engage, it’s like waving a green flag for them to reach out to you once more. Stay alert and protect your details!

Received a call from this number asking for my name. I politely declined to provide any information. Honestly, if this is from PayPal, it's rather odd as I haven’t made a purchase through them in about five years. I took a moment to check my PayPal account, and surprise, there are no transactions. It’s definitely a scam!

This number has called me twice at the crack of dawn. When I pick up, there's nothing but silence, but I can faintly make out what sounds like an office buzz in the background. Then, they promptly disconnect! Quite the peculiar behaviour, if you ask me!

Rang me at the crack of dawn, professing to be from a firm named Senica or something similar. They asked for me directly, but I politely refused to divulge my details since I'm listed as X directory. If this is in connection with a debt, they’re barking up the wrong tree, as I have absolutely none! Sounds very much like a scam to me.

This seems to be a debt collection agency that has acquired overdue accounts from PayPal. If they're getting in touch with you, it's likely that PayPal has transferred your outstanding balance over to them.

I had a call from this number and the person on the other end spoke in a rather unclear manner, claiming to be from PayPal. I immediately realised it was dodgy since legitimate PayPal calls usually show up as international. Clearly, it's a scammer trying their luck, so I've gone ahead and blocked the number. They didn't even seem to want to speak to anyone else in my home!
