I received a call today from someone purporting to be from OVO, requesting that I send back a form related to my business. To be frank, I was utterly baffled by the conversation and had no clue what they were referring to.

Received an unexpected call earlier today concerning the proprietor of my establishment (a pub). The caller launched into a spiel, claiming they had just discovered that my pub had undergone a change in ownership - a bit of a misstep since that's been the case for a good 17 months now. When I probed about their organisation, they mentioned some vague name that had a whiff of officialdom about it. Their voice had a rather nasal quality and it felt like I was on loudspeaker, which made the conversation rather challenging. In the end, I bluntly stated, "This is a scam. I haven’t the foggiest who you are," and promptly ended the call.
