I've received several calls from this number, alongside 0151 329 0341, which turn out to be from Fresh Contacts. They're a so-called "legal marketing" company, trying to reel in information about accidents to lure you into their "compensation claims" racket, charging an eye-watering 25% fee. Got a call from someone claiming to be a mate, saying I'd been in a car crash and even knew my full name.

My significant other received a call from a number we didn’t recognise on her mobile. She opted not to pick up, and soon after, a voicemail popped up, prattling on about double glazing. It really seems like a scam, especially since others have shared experiences with calls related to accident claims and such on this site. I reckon the wisest course of action is to steer clear of picking up those calls from withheld or mysterious numbers and just go ahead and block them! I had a rather unexpected call from a lad sporting a Scouse twang, claiming to represent a law firm, keen to discuss a supposed little mishap involving my cat! I had to inform him rather courteously that he’d got his wires crossed, as I haven’t been in any such incident. He was quite apologetic and acknowledged that he must have been misinformed. The call went to my voicemail, but the start of the message got clipped, so I can’t identify who it's from. All I caught was an automated voice saying, “... just a quick courtesy call; if you wish to stop receiving these calls, please dial 0151 329 0341 to remove your details. Thank you.” I’ve just done a bit of digging on that number, and it appears to be warning folks against answering as it might be some kind of scam. Best to stay cautious!

Right from the start, they got my first name right, which was a bit surprising. They said they’d got my info since I’d apparently been in an accident recently - I told them no, that wasn’t true. Then they asked if anyone in my home had given out my number, I said no again. After that, they said they’d remove my number from their list and just said goodbye!
