I didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar. Later on, I got a voicemail that just sounded like some random noise from a call centre, no clear details or anything meant for me.

Got a call on my landline around 10:48 from someone claiming to be a co-ordinator for Lincs Crime Watch. They told my missus they’d like to come round to check the house was safe and all that, but to book it they asked for a quid. Luckily, she saw through it right away and cut them off. They said they’d call back in the afternoon, but of course, no call came.

Someone rang me claiming they were checking up on elderly locals to make sure they had all the right numbers for the police, NHS and so on. Sounds like a total scam to me!

I could hear loads of chatter like in a call centre, but nobody actually said anything, so I just ended the call.

The caller abruptly ended the conversation when I urged them to get a move on. Clearly, they recognised that their pesky scamming tactics weren't going to fly with me.

I received a call from 01772364966 at 12:04 on the 25th of April, 2022, and it was clearly a scammer. The voice on the other end sounded like a robotic Indian, and the line was dreadful. They were attempting to pose as representatives of some dubious operation - a complete load of nonsense! It felt like I was dealing with a bunch of dishonest charlatans up to no good. The conversation was filled with meaningless chatter and absurdities, a classic phishing expedition. Such a shame these scam artists are still at it! Just a warning for anyone who might encounter 01772364966 - it’s definitely a dodgy number.

this number seems like it could be linked to a business, but i can't find anything online about it. has anyone else come across this number before? just a heads up, if you get a call from it, it might be one of those shared cost lines, so best not to ring back. i dont want to be harsh, but it probably is some sort of telemarketing.
