The caller was rather insistent on identifying himself as well, prior to disclosing his own name. He came across quite polite and composed. However, when my husband inquired as to why he needed our details first, there was a noticeable pause in the conversation before he abruptly ended the call. It was as if we were the ones being rude! I can’t tell you how relieved I am to find out it was a scammer on the other end. It seems he might be gathering information for some dubious purpose.
