What an absolute nuisance these Indian call centres are! They seem to be a bunch of complete clowns, not to mention that they might just be linked to some dodgy local solar, insulation, or PPI crew. Honestly, it’s enough to make your blood boil!

kept getting calls from these lot, they just dont get that when the line’s permanently engaged it means no calls get through. also if you try ringing them back, their number doesn’t come up anywhere. heads up, they’re now faking local landline numbers too. if you see a number you don’t know, best not pick up, if its important they’ll leave a voicemail and you can decide if you want to call. its a shame bt cant block these dodgy, unrecognised numbers properly.

Somebody called saying they were from BT about my slow internet. When I asked who they were and for some info, they just ended the call. The voice sounded Indian. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call from this number around 9.25am today but no voicemail left. Really thankful I looked it up on here first.

So this asian woman called me, her english wasn’t great and she asked if I was on the computer. I guessed it was a scam right away. I told her to prove she was from BT, got a bit firm with her, and then she just ended the call. I tried calling BT myself but got disconnected before I could talk to anyone.

I use bt call guardian and it labels this as a missed call. The phone won’t even ring unless the caller says their name and then hits #, but still my old fashioned phone buzzes for a short bit before the scammer drops the line.

My BT Call Guardian marks this as a missed call. If the person on the other end doesn’t introduce themselves and hit the hash key, my phone won’t ring - though I must say, my old-fashioned phone does chime for a brief moment while those pesky scam callers hang up.

This number 01763 242597 says it’s from BT but the woman on the line, who speaks with an Asian accent, barely understands English. I really hope BT can do something about it and stop these calls, they should have the means and the will to put an end to this annoying nuisance.

Received a call earlier from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from BT. This isn’t the first time either, I usually just hang up but they keep ringing back. I’m thinking it’s time to try and block the number for good. Honestly, why does BT let this go on?

Got two calls today, both came through as blocked. Turns out they're faking their numbers and actually calling from abroad. If you're lucky, you might catch the real international number flashing up for a split second. These scammers are overseas, like from India or somewhere similar.

I've been getting calls from them pretty much every day, but thankfully my call blocker stops them. They don't bother leaving any voicemail either.

I received a rather suspicious call from an Asian gentleman insisting I needed to boot up my computer to rectify some sort of issue. He purported to be affiliated with BT, which instantly raised my eyebrows. When I probed further, wanting clarity on why my computer’s power was essential, he struggled to articulate his reasons, and the line was dreadful-full of crackles and distortion. It got to a point where, after my insistence for a proper explanation, he abruptly cut the call. I knew right then that he wasn’t genuine and was merely attempting to pull a fast one on me.

Some bloke named Peter rang me up, insisting there was an issue with my internet connection. Classic scam tactics, if you ask me. I told him straight up that I’ve got no internet access at all. He had that unmistakable Indian accent, but honestly, there’s no point trying to spin that yarn with me.

I got a call earlier today, but thanks to the insights I gathered from this website, I had already added that number to my block list. They really don’t give up, do they? My suggestion would be to just block the number.

I had a rather peculiar phone call earlier today. An Asian gentleman introduced himself by saying, “Good morning, madam. I’m ringing from British Telecom. How are you this fine day?” To which I responded, “To be honest, I’m quite tired of these calls pretending to be from British Telecom.” He seemed taken aback and replied, “Oh, really?” I was quick to retort, “Indeed! You’re not genuinely from British Telecom, are you?” Shortly thereafter, he promptly ended the call. Looks like my instincts were spot on!

I received a rather alarming call from this number, purporting to be British Telecom, stating that my broadband had been compromised and that an upgrade was essential for my security. It really unsettled me, and I had my doubts about their legitimacy, so I promptly ended the call. Right after, I reached out to my actual internet provider, who confirmed that it was indeed a scam attempt aimed at gaining access to my computer and personal information.

Got another call from the same lot that contacted me yesterday on 01763242596. They were raving on about my internet being shut off imminently due to some so-called security issues and insisted they’d be dispatching a new router. Honestly, it was just a load of old tosh! When I quizzed the chap about my address for the router delivery, he blurted out '1968 Park Avenue'. Talk about a blunder! I politely informed him that he’d got it entirely wrong. Perhaps one day he’ll get it right, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. What a frustrating bother they are!
