So at 11:55 today, my answerphone picked up the call but no message was left, which was a bit unexpected. Still quite annoying to get interrupted like that though.

I picked up the phone to a chap from this number who claimed to be called James and said he was representing BT. He warned me that my internet would get cut off unless I did as he instructed. The moment I questioned his legitimacy by asking for the name of BT’s current CEO, he turned quite hostile and rather nasty. In a fit of rage, I called him a criminal, to which he shockingly admitted it and threatened to pay me a visit. Charming, isn’t it?

Oi, someone needs to let BT know about this number, it’s definitely a scam. I wasted about 20 minutes arguing with them, and this isn’t the first time they’ve tried this on me. I’m pretty sure they’re targetin’ older folks to scam ’em. I didn’t hold back telling them what I thought! Right now, I’m on the line with the proper BT to report it and hopefully get these lot stopped.

Got calls from 01763 242 595 twice on September 2nd, 2016 when I was in my house. The first call was really odd - no one answered and after a few seconds the call just dropped. The second time, I heard a woman’s voice faintly, said hello a couple of times but then the line just cut off again. I rang back but just got a dead tone. Pretty strange!

Got a couple of missed calls from 01763 242594 and 242595, but they just went straight to my voicemail without saying anything. Didn’t bother leaving a message, so all good on my end!

When I asked if it was actually BT calling, they just ended the call right away.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me my internet was old and needed updating. They asked if I was near a computer. The call quality was awful. Then he said he’d ring back on a different number, which he did. When I asked him to verify my name, he said “Joe Root,” which isn’t me at all. Definitely a scam, watch out.

I’ve received countless calls from this number, with the callers urging me to press the Windows key alongside the letter (r). When I refuse to play along, they’ve actually resorted to swearing at me. It’s quite outrageous, really!

Heads up, folks! This number is pretending to be ###bt### here in the UK. If you’ve got ##bt infinity## internet, watch out. They’re claiming they’re "upgrading systems" like some others mentioned already. It sounds proper dodgy and some people might fall for it. Seriously, don’t do what whoever answers tells you. From my experience, it might be linked to 222299? or a lady called Christina?? 292929. Be careful out there!

I've been receiving a barrage of calls from 01763242594 over the past few days, and now today I've been hit with a call from 01763242595. They're mostly silent, which is quite irritating!

I’ve been getting loads of calls from numbers like 01763242594, guessing it’s probably the same company behind them all. Most of the time when I pick up, it just cuts off straight away. But earlier today, I finally caught a woman on the line - there was quite a bit of background chatter, so I figured it was a call centre. She said hi, but then hung up when I wasn’t quick enough to reply.

The phone just won't stop ringing! I picked up earlier, and someone claimed to be from BT, warning me that my internet would be switched off starting tomorrow. I told them I wasn't falling for it; it’s clearly a scam!
