The moment I picked up, the line just cut out. I called my phone provider to check the number, and they said it wasn’t valid. It looks like some sort of automated system is calling out, probably for a call centre overseas, but they’re masking their real location by faking a UK number on your caller ID. This trick is likely so they can bypass phones set to block foreign or ‘private’ numbers. Honestly, why would any genuine British business bother hiding like that? They wouldn’t, it’s clear these are dodgy scammers trying to appear legit.

I can't seem to shake off this persistent number that keeps ringing me. It's driving me up the wall! They’re at it all hours, both day and night. Enough is enough!

I received a call from someone inquiring about credit cards and mortgages. They questioned me about whether I had been in Leeds just yesterday, which I had, but I didn’t use any cards at the time. Quite peculiar, isn't it?
