Got a call from this number saying they were ringing on behalf of Adobe, asking to talk to someone on the team because apparently that person’s name was on the company’s licence. The bloke had a thick Indian accent and I could hear several dogs barking behind him. When I asked if he was calling from an office since of the noise, he claimed he was. I told him to just send an email to the person named on the licence as we weren’t interested in continuing the call. Blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be "Amazon Business" wanting to talk to our purchasing manager. The caller spoke with a really heavy Indian accent. Seems like this number might be one that scammers often use to fake calls.

The person spoke English with a strong Indian accent, but I just couldn’t make out who he said was calling when I asked. I repeated my question and then he claimed it was from Amazon. After that, he also asked if I was living in a care home. I told him no and hung up straight away.

I got a call when I was overseas, and the bloke on the line addressed me by my first name, saying he was from some firm in Leeds that I used to be connected with ages back. It made me wonder how on earth they had my info and what they were after. He said they just wanted to check if I was still linked to that company. Someone rang saying they were from my bank’s “Fraud Team” trying to check some security details. Before sharing anything like account numbers or important dates, I threw a few questions back at them. They said they couldn’t share any info with me, which seemed odd. I told them to send a letter with the enquiry instead, and then they cut the call. Weirdly, the line stayed open for a bit after they hung up.

When I suggested calling them back myself, he insisted that he couldn't be transferred. Strangely, as soon as I made that request, he mentioned that a letter would be sent to me containing all the necessary information, implying that a conversation was unnecessary. It felt quite suspicious, especially since he appeared to have some knowledge about my dealings with Santander, ringing me right after I had just hung up from them. I have strong suspicions that it was a scam. How on earth would he have gotten hold of my details? That’s a question the bank needs to address.

Got a call from this number and a lady claimed she was ringing from Southern Water about high water usage. Felt a bit fishy since she asked if I lived in Sussex, Hampshire, or Kent! She said she was checking our address but never actually told me what it was - and I didn’t share mine either.
