I had a passing interest in a free course offered by Shawn Academy. Oddly enough, before you even get to input your credit card details, they require you to provide your phone number. I didn’t go ahead with the registration process, yet I still received a text message, to which I promptly replied with “STOP”. Strangely enough, just two minutes later, I received a call-but it was silent! My phone didn’t even ring. When I tried calling back, I was greeted by a robotic voice thanking me for my 'verification' and was prompted to press some buttons. I've since blocked the number and am keeping my fingers crossed that I won’t receive any further nuisance calls or messages.

Shaw Academy is a right pain. I've been flooded with emails, texts, calls, all sorts from them. Honestly, don't bother signing up for any course. Cancelling is a total nightmare - after endless pages and hoops to jump through, they then just give you some useless phone number to ring! Such a frustrating experience.

AVOID SHAW ACADEMY FREE TRIAL. I joined this mornin then saw the reviews here and thought better of it, so tried to cancel. Turns out it's a right pain - you gotta talk to someone on the phone and keep refusin about ten times to different offers. Such a faff and honestly not worth the stress.

Shaw Academy keeps blowing up my phone with calls, texts, emails and even messages on Facebook! Feels like they are just after your money for no good reason. You actually need to ring them up to cancel, which is ridiculous. What I’d really recommend is sorting it out through your payment method - like stopping the subscription on PayPal, that way they can’t keep charging you!

Like others have mentioned, I think this is Shaw Academy. I also signed up for one of their courses. I’m based in Dublin, Ireland and got a call from this Slough number after I blocked a call coming from San Mateo. Honestly, it feels a bit dodgy for a company to operate like that.

Whenever I get a call from a number I don’t know but I’m interested in finding out who it is, I pick up but keep quiet. Usually, after just a second, I hear a click and the call ends. I'm pretty sure this has something to do with shaw academy. I tried to join one of their 'free' courses but found out it wasnt really free at all, so i cancelled my subscription straight away. Since then ive gotten around 18 calls from loads of different numbers that ive blocked now. Plus, there were 7 texts from two separate numbers which ive also blocked. Also, 11 emails came through. Just be careful and steer clear of shaw academy!
