I just received a call from these folks claiming I’d been browsing their website for offers and had signed up for something. When I pushed back, explaining that I’d only just rolled out of bed and hadn’t been online at all, the bloke on the line started arguing with me! He insisted I’d been active just half a minute earlier. I stood firm, insisting I hadn’t done any such thing, and then he told me to shove off before hanging up. Quite the experience, I must say!

I was in the process of acquiring a new mobile and data plan from Tesco Mobile. Just as I was about to finalise everything, my current phone died on me. I plugged it in to charge, and then I received a call from someone claiming to be with the company that supposedly assembles Tesco phones. This chap addressed me by my name and knew exactly which handset I was after. He then proceeded to promote what he claimed was a fantastic data package. After stating he was merely calling to confirm a few details, I asked him if he needed information that Tesco wouldn’t provide-his reply was a nonchalant "yes." No chance, mate. Goodbye!

I've received six calls from this number in just a single day! I’ve chosen not to pick up as my phone flags it as "suspected spam." I did attempt to return the call, but all it does is play some tunes without revealing the identity of the caller. Quite baffling, really!

I recently encountered a similar situation and promptly hung up when they requested the last three digits from the back of my card. It's quite alarming how brazen some callers can be!

Avoid sharing any banking information with these con artists at all costs. They requested the final three digits from my debit card, claiming it was for a credit assessment, and even tried to entice me with a contract. It’s blatantly a scam!

I recently received a missed call from this number, and it seems they were after me to discuss some rather dubious phone upgrades. I've decided to block them straight away!

A guy with an Irish accent rang me claiming he was calling from 02 to offer a great deal on a mobile phone. I wasn’t convinced though and told him I’d ring back later - which I never did. Then I looked up Arcs, wondering if they were legit, but for some odd reason they couldn’t send me any email confirmation. They did send a text though, which felt pretty sketchy. So cheers for sharing your report, it’s clear now that it was a dodgy caller trying to scam me.

I was considering upgrading my mobile, but the store asked for an alarming amount of personal information. They wanted the full details from my bank card, even the 3-digit security code on the back, before they'd even think about running a credit assessment or putting a contract on the table. I was taken aback and decided to walk away, as I’ve never encountered such a request in the past. Normally, one might expect to share their account number to arrange a direct debit after agreeing to a contract, but being asked for that three-digit code, which could potentially give someone access to my bank account, seemed exceedingly dodgy.

Got a call from this really impolite bloke with an Irish accent, claiming he was ringing from 02 and wanting me to sign up for a phone contract.

I couldn't pick up the phone as I was busy with work commitments. The calls seemed to be about some sort of upgrade. This number has repeatedly rung me, and I was quite taken aback by the rather impolite voicemail they left for me due to my lack of response. I've now taken the step to block them.
