They offered a free loft check and some suggestions. Seemed alright at first but I got suspicious when they called and said they were my "local agent" even tho they were ringing from miles away. We chatted for 5 minutes and they asked if me and my missus work 9-5 and if we’d be home at 10am the next day! Lucky for me I work from home sometimes so I didn’t say the house would be empty. Just as I was about to book, she asked my age and said I’m too young. Why not ask that before checking if I’m free? Feels like poor procedure at best, kinda sketchy at worst.

A man rang me from a firm called Evergreen Energy, phone number 01752 875324. He asked if my loft had fibreglass insulation, saying it traps moisture. Then he tried to sell me a free home survey. I said I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

Then they asked my age, if I lived alone, and which days I was out - I didn't reply to any of that. I said I was busy with work and asked if they could send me an email with their logo and contact info. The bloke said no, so I told him 'Then I’m not interested' and ended the call.
