01752548803 called me saying they were doing a pension assessment because of some government updates - they try to make it sound like they’re part of a government dept - but they definitely aren’t. Just annoying time wasters using numbers from some marketing firm, ringing people up without asking first.

Picked up the phone quickly, could hear some noise in the background, then a guy asked if this was John Walker. I said no, you’ve got the wrong number. He just said thanks and ended the call.

If you’ve recently got a pension update through the post and sent it back, your pension company is sharing your details even if your pension is frozen or not active! There’s new rules being run by outside firms you probably don’t know about! Just tell them to get lost and maybe chuck a contribution into your pension to make up for all the nonsense and hassle! I’m with Scottish Widows and after they updated my info, the phone calls have been non stop almost every week! They use numbers like 01752 547221 and 01752 547218 so best just block em!

As soon as I rang back, they already knew my name which was a bit odd. The whole call was confusing though. They asked if I’d put any money into a pension plan, I said yes, and then they just said that’s fine, no more questions. Apparently, the new “government fees” won’t impact me if my funds are all in a single account. Don’t really understand the purpose of the call or how they even got my info???

I received a call from this number earlier, and I tend to avoid picking up calls from unfamiliar digits. The person on the line claimed to be from the pensions agency. I informed her that I don’t disclose any sort of details to unsolicited callers and asked her firmly not to ring me again.

Everytime I block a number, a new one pops up the next day with the same dodgy scam. On my iPhone, I switched on Do not disturb, set it to manual and only allow calls from my contacts. That way, these annoying calls stop ringing through.

I’ve got a habit of ignoring calls from numbers I don’t recognise. My landline’s got an answering machine, so I let that do the work for me until I know who’s on the other end. It really gets under the skin of those pesky cold callers; I've even caught them hurling insults at me through the machine! Honestly, I reckon everyone ought to have one and do the same to keep those nuisance calls at bay.

This is definitely a scam. If you use a Samsung phone, just open the Phone app to see all your missed or received calls. Tap on the number, and on the top right corner you’ll see two options: Delete and More. Click More and then choose Block number. This way you won't get calls from them again. That’s what I always do with any unknown numbers.

Received an annoying call from someone claiming to be from The Pensions Agency, based in Plymouth. I told them I wasn't interested, yet they keep ringing me repeatedly. I did a bit of digging and couldn't find any organisation by that name in Plymouth at all. When I probed the caller about how they got hold of my first name and number, the call suddenly dropped. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
