I got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent saying he was from Amazon. He reckoned someone had used my info to buy something worth £700. I had to keep telling him twice that I don't have any connection with Amazon before he finally ended the call.

I can’t stand these calls, they really stress me out. Just earlier, I was on the phone with one of these people and nearly caused a fire because I got so distracted. They seriously need to be stopped.

I got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be from Amazon. He asked if I’d seen an email he had supposedly sent me. I said I hadn’t, so he told me to check my inbox while he waited on the line. When I looked, the only thing from Amazon was a message about Alexa, which seemed unrelated. When I went back to the phone, he’d already gone!

Somebody rang up saying they were from Amazon, looking for a person who moved out ages ago, like back in 2019. Totally wasted my time.

Someone rang claiming they were from Amazon, but when my missus questioned it with "You’re not really from Amazon, are you?" they got quite rude. They mentioned they’d send an email afterwards, but obviously, nothing showed up. Pretty obvious scam behaviour, so I’ve flagged the number as possibly dodgy.

Got a call on my landline around 1:45 this afternoon from someone claiming to be Amazon. I blocked the number right away with BT Call Protect and made sure to report it to Action Fraud. When I told the caller I appreciated them keeping an eye on my Amazon account round the clock and joked that if they shared their name and bank info I’d send them a big thank you payment, they just hung up!
