Got a call from a number I didn’t know, of course no message was left. I’m on the TPS and my number’s unlisted but these scam calls keep coming through anyway! So annoying!

Got a call from this number earlier saying my Amazon account was compromised. The guy asked me to log in to look for some kind of alert. When I asked his name he said Mark, and claimed he was calling from London. Then I asked if he knew my name and right after that he just hung up on me. Definitely a scam. Looked it up here and saw quite a few others had the same thing happen.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon, telling me there was some weird stuff going on with my account. They said a gift card had been bought without me knowing. The person said they had emailed me about it overnight, and because I hadn’t replied, they told me to look for the email on my computer straight away while they stayed on the line. I just hung up instead.

Got a call this morning around 10:30 but there was nothing said, just silence, which is really unsettling... Honestly, the authorities ought to consider these phone scam folks the biggest crooks in the UK. It’s been happening for two decades and it’s just not on! When they finally catch these scammers, they should be given hefty prison sentences and massive penalties. Life in Britain feels less safe nowadays, and something serious has got to happen soon so folks can stop worrying.

Got a call today, 5th March 2024, on my landline which isn’t listed anywhere. The number was 01748-834554. The person said they were from Amazon but had an accent that sounded like it could be Indian or Pakistani. Didn’t sound legit at all, so I just ended the call straight away. Definitely felt like a scam.
