At about 9.50 this morning, I got a call from 01748825280, I picked up but didn't say anything. No one said a word on the other side and then they just hung up after a few seconds. I looked it up and it might be an Amazon scam. The area code shows Richmond, which I don’t know anyone from. Looks like just another dodgy call.

Got a call from one of those so-called 'Richmond' Amazon scammers again, this time from a new number, different from the 01748824302 they used before. Like last time, I told them nicely to buzz off and then hung up straight away. Every year around now, I end up blocking loads of these annoying numbers and codes on my phone.

Some guy with a heavy foreign accent called, sounding really hard to catch. He asked if I was someone, but I told him no and said I didn’t know the person he mentioned. Then he just hung up on me.

Got a call claiming to be from Amazon about £400 worth of gift cards being bought using my account. The bloke seemed well prepared, knowing my full name and address. He told me to check my email for a confirmation, but when I asked which email he'd sent it to, he refused to say, saying it was confidential info - even though he’d just dropped my personal details. Then to top it off, he told me to bugger off and go die somewhere before hanging up. Classic scammer behaviour if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon. I said I don’t use Amazon at all, then he started asking if I owned a computer. I told him that’s private and ended the call straight away. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

So this bloke called me claiming to be Alex from Amazon, saying someone got into my account and bought a phone. He even named the person supposedly using my account and asked if I'd okay'd it. Thing is, I don't even have an Amazon account! I just messed about with him a bit and he ended up hanging up.
