Just yesterday, I got a rather dodgy automated call from the number 01747705003, which purported to be from HMRC. It was a scripted message urging me to press 1 to get in touch with my 'case worker' regarding some tax evasion nonsense to steer clear of legal troubles. The thing is, I’m not even a taxpayer! Never have been! What a load of rubbish!

Got a call from someone saying they were from EE and could give me a 40% discount. I foolishly mentioned I was with EE already, thinking they’d know about my contract if they were legit. I’ve blocked the number now but I’m a bit anxious they might share my info since I told them I’m an EE user.
