Like someone else mentioned, I switched to a different phone and told them I’d check with my supplier since I’m sure they’re sorting this for me. Then the line just went dead, so if it’s the same number calling me again today, probably the same person messing about.7 monthsJust got a call on my landline, bloke sounded Asian with a dodgy accent, clearly reading a script. He said something about my local provider shutting down my line and that I had to switch to some new digital service. I think he mentioned Imperial Telecom or summat like that. When I asked where he got my number from, he claimed I did a survey - definitely didn’t.
