Got a call from someone saying they're HMRC, warning me about some fraud on my account and told me to hit button 1. Seemed dodgy to me.

I'd bet this is a dodgy bank scam caller. I got a call from a similar number (01865428660) about three hours before, which I knew was a scam. The recorded message was just the same, offering to press 1 or 2 to either approve or cancel some transaction. Definitely best to steer clear.
