Got a call from an Asian bloke again, same scam rubbish as before. I kept him on the line for ages, around ten minutes, and then he started cussing at me. Said stuff about me not having a dad and something about making love to my mum. Little does he know, she's been gone for years. I reckon he’s got a better shot at sorting out my computer! Haha!

I keep getting annoying calls from people claiming to be Microsoft but they sound like they're from somewhere in Asia. They say they can fix viruses on my PC but it’s just a scam. They call from all sorts of different numbers, it’s like they have access to loads of phone lines. It’s really frustrating and something should be done to stop these kinds of calls.

Got two calls today from some bloke telling me to switch my computer on quick to block hackers. I said I don’t even have a computer, and he goes, “Oh, so you think you're clever, huh? You ain't.” Then he started shouting at me to turn it on immediately. I said, “Sorry, I’m not doing that,” and he started cursing a lot before I just cut the call.

Got a call from a really polite woman, maybe Indian or Pakistani, claiming to be from Microsoft. She said there were issues with our system. Played along for a while, then told her flat out she was fibbing since we don’t even own a computer. Blocked the number now but I’m sure they’ll just ring again from somewhere else. Typical!

Got a call from this Indian bloke who introduced himself as "Leonado!" Like all the other stories I've read here, he was banging on about some "500 error messages" messing up my computer. He claimed he was with Microsoft, but since I'm all about Apple stuff, I just played along for about ten minutes before I told him to jog on and ended the call.

Oh great, another one of those tedious Microsoft scams from some call centre in India claiming my PC’s got issues they can sort out. I just told the bloke to swing by and I’d sort his watch instead. Honestly, can’t believe folks are still getting caught out by this rubbish.

Well, it was quite clear this was a scam call. The person on the line had a really thick accent and their English was hard to catch. They said they were from Microsoft and that there was some kind of threat on my PC. When I said I didn’t quite get that and asked them to say it again, they just ended the call straight away.

Just got a call from this number. Had a look at what others wrote before me. Gonna follow an idea someone mentioned earlier - try to track down the firms that hand out these UK landline numbers to scammers so they can ring up from anywhere overseas. Don’t think the scammers themselves can be stopped easily, but I’m gonna push to go after those companies that sell these stacks of numbers to dodgy groups abroad. Let’s see how it pans out!

Honestly, this number looks like it's from some fleecing tricksters. Loads of dodgy telemarketers pretending to be from places like Microsoft, B.T., or even H.M.R.C. will ring and say things that just don't add up. If you want to see how these scammers operate, just head over to YouTube and watch some clips from Jim Browning - he does a cracking job revealing their scams.

They've rung me once more, always swapping between various UK landline numbers. Each number rings for a few days before they switch to a new one, pulling the same scam. I've blocked them, though I doubt it does much good. This particular number won't bother me again, but loads of other UK landlines will. After reading all the other comments, I’m thinking of trying what folks suggested - tracking down whoever's selling these dodgy people those UK numbers.

I got a call on my landline from 01743718040 saying someone had flagged a hacker was messing with my desktop and laptop. When I asked how they knew, they replied it was from a provider, and when I pushed for who exactly, they said it was Microsoft’s tech team. They then told me to call another number to prove they were legit, but I wasn’t having any of it and said no. After that, the line just went dead.

Just got a ring from 01743718040, some bloke called Robert claiming he’s from Microsoft, said he was in Reading. I went along with it at first, then paused and said, “Wait a moment, there’s a message here - do you think I’m daft?” Had a laugh and then the line went dead. Apparently, it’s the same caller but using another number too. Next time, I might try messing about with a squeaky voice to see what happens.

What a pair of scammers! My 90 year old aunt spoke with one of those fraudsters for more than 10 minutes recently. She played the forgetful granny role until she eventually admitted she doesn’t even own a computer! She reckons that if these tricksters waste their time chatting with her, that’s less chance to fool someone who might actually fall for it.
