I received a voicemail from a chap named Aaron urging me to get in touch promptly, claiming my details had been handed over to his firm, "Extra Phones," by EE, and he insisted on sorting out some purported issue for me. I tried giving him a ring, but it went straight to voicemail. So, I called again and got through to someone named Ashley, explained who I was, and rather perplexingly asked about his identity since I’d never heard of them before. He didn’t really acknowledge my question and simply placed me on hold - and let me tell you, that waiting music was truly dire. Eventually, he returned to the call, stating he was transferring me, but I couldn’t help but wonder who I’d be speaking to next. Sure enough, the same voice reappeared, albeit with a different name this time. I inquired yet again about who exactly he was, and was met with an incredibly rude response: "If you let me finish, I will tell you." I was taken aback, to say the least! He then claimed that I had upgraded my plan - news to me, I must confess - and that I owed money, supposedly on behalf of EE, who had enlisted him for collection. I called out his bluff, which only seemed to amplify his rather unpleasant demeanour. I made it clear that I only communicate with EE directly regarding my account, and as a customer of a legitimate telecommunications company, I've never had any dealings with Extra Phones. After all, they’ve never reached out to me about anything. I decided to cut the conversation short and block his number on my phone. What an absolute muppet! To top it off, he called me back almost immediately, leaving another message that sounded strikingly similar, though he did seem to have undergone a rather mysterious change in tone. I’ve encountered some right numpties in my day, but honestly, you sir, are a complete cactus! Anyone who dares to respond to such nonsense ought to do so with caution!

Indeed, I can vouch for everything mentioned earlier. I had a similar encounter with the number in discussion, though I must say Alex was neither impolite nor discourteous... that said, we did engage in a conversation, and he likely assumed I was a prospective client. I'm unclear about the intentions behind his business, but it's quite concerning how much information he had regarding my phone. I've now labelled his number as ‘do not pick up’ on my device, and I would urge others to consider doing the same.

Received a call from this number today. Didn't bother picking up, so I decided to have a look online and stumbled upon just a single negative review. Out of curiosity, I returned the call and, as mentioned, it was indeed that Alex fellow on the line. He was jabbering about Orange Business mobile plans. Unfortunately, he came across as quite impolite and didn’t seem to take in my clear disinterest. Quite the nuisance, really!

Absolute nonsense, really. The phone rings, and when I pick it up, there’s nothing but silence on the other end. When I attempt to return the call, I hear a voice that says they're trying to connect me, followed by a message saying I’ve reached the voicemail of someone called Alex V. Just to note, it’s using a Shrewsbury area code. What a bother!
