Got a call from someone who couldn’t even say my second name right. When I told this bloke who sounded Asian that there’s no one here by that name, he just hung up straight away. Blocked the number now. Seriously, when will these call centres stop using UK numbers to mask their identity? Wish they’d learn and quit bothering folks with these dodgy cold calls already.

Got a call from this guy, sounded asian, trying to sell some photos of his mum naked or something. Proper weird and a bit creepy if you ask me.

My husband was the one to answer the phone when it rang. The caller wanted to speak to me specifically. Annoyed, my husband snapped at them, asking how they couldn’t tell a man’s voice from a woman’s, then the person just ended the call. This number rang us up twice daily all through last week. Looks like the hassle is starting again. It’s clearly some kind of scam but we’re stuck answering anyway since the hospital often calls from varying numbers and we can’t afford to miss those. It’s all so stressful and maddening, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be about UK benefits. When I asked a few questions, they put me on hold but then disconnected. Funny enough, less than a minute later, the same person called me back, but this time the number showed as 02088636097. Pretty sure it's some kind of scam, with different lines pretending to call from various locations.
